AZRIS is a manufacturer of quality educational games and resources to support teaching and learning. AZRIS specialises in games and resources that are fun, easy to use, but most importantly promote 'knowledges' and 'ways of learning' from a range of indigenous cultures so that all children are actively involved in learning. Azris aims to foster children's learning through creating games and resources that reflect a diverse range of children's realities and worldviews.
AZRIS believes that there are many ways that tamariki (children) learn. Because of this AZRIS adopts a holistic research-driven outlook when creating games and resources. AZRIS games and resources have been trialled and tested by kaiako (teachers), specialists, parents and most importantly tamariki themselves.
Our first few products released focus on Māori language and Māori culture. However, we are interested to hear from educators and existing international businesses that are from and or have experience working with indigenous and minority cultures for potential future product development ventures.
